WE'RE PULLING THE PLUG ON CORPORATE CONTROL
7 DAYS OF GIVEMAS
// SYSTEM REBOOT: COMMUNITY POWER LOADING ...
From economic resistance to community power
The biggest threat to fascism is community
// 7 DAYS OF GIVEMAS: December 18 – December 24
IT'S NOT CHARITY - IT'S SOLIDARITY
Our corporate-controlled system and corrupt government are failing us. The solution lies in community solidarity.
7 Days of Givemas
The Mass Blackout Coalition (MB) is launching "7 Days of Givemas". This initiative empowers individuals to support one another and build community resilience. Our strength comes from both withholding support from corporations and building community solidarity.
The Power of Mutual Aid
Mutual aid emphasizes solidarity, recognizing that our well-being and dignity are connected. Our survival depends on cooperation and not only in crisis. Mutual aid fosters collective uplift for all.
Participate in Any Way You Can
We invite everyone to pledge to an act of mutual aid each day for seven days. Each day below offers ways to engage, but also feel free to spin the "Acts of Solidarity Wheel" for additional ideas. If daily participation isn’t possible, contribute as you can.
This is mutual aid at scale.

WHY NOW?
Because the biggest threat to fascism is COMMUNITY!
People in the U.S. are under duress and facing significant challenges across various areas:
Economic Hardship
-
Inflation: Rising costs of essentials strain household budgets.
-
Wage Stagnation: Many workers' wages are not keeping pace with inflation.
-
Job Insecurity: Layoffs and reduced hours are prevalent in many sectors.
Health Crisis
-
Access to Healthcare: High costs and inadequate coverage hinder access for many.
-
Mental Health Challenges: Increased rates of anxiety and depression arise from financial instability and isolation.
Social Disparities
-
Inequality: Marginalized communities face significant barriers to education, housing, and job opportunities.
-
Discrimination: Ongoing racial and ethnic discrimination contributes to societal suffering.
Political Polarization
-
Distrust in Government: Disillusionment with political leadership fosters a sense of helplessness.
-
Divided Communities: Political conflict reduces collaborative problem-solving.
Environmental Concerns
-
Climate Change: Extreme weather events disproportionately affect vulnerable communities.
These interconnected issues illustrate the multifaceted suffering experienced by individuals and communities across the country.

SPIN THE SOLIDARY WHEEL
The Mass Blackout isn’t just about not spending with corporations. It’s about rerouting our time, money, and energy back into our communities. This wheel is packed with ways to opt into care, mutual aid, and collective power, from forming childcare co-ops to supporting immigrant-owned businesses, timebanking, stocking little free pantries, and more.
Hit "Spin" in the center of the wheel, see what you land on, and treat it as your next mission. Do one action, or keep spinning and stack a few. Share your result with friends, challenge your group chat, or have your org spin it together and commit to whatever comes up.
How to use it:
-
Spin the wheel and read your action.
-
Do it during the week as much as you like.
-
Post about it and tag #Givemas #MassBlackout #MB
